National Indicators 2011: Measuring mental health and addiction in New Zealand  is designed to present a whole-of-society picture of mental health and addiction in New Zealand.

The report presents 15 measures against 3 high level domains:

  • Mental health of the population: take a broad overview of the nations well-being, mental health and addiction profile.
  • Health service delivery: looks at parameters that consumers tell us are important to them including access rates, seclusion and consumer input to care.
  • Social Inclusion: this section takes a wider view than just the health sector such as employment and housing.
